NY Now is one of the most amazing gift trade shows that happens twice a year at New York’s own Javits Center.

The show attracts over 23,000 attendees from all the 50 states and most other countries around the globe. It’s quite the place to be for anyone who appreciates a wide variety of new and exciting products. With so many delightful companies showcasing their goods, I had to really zero in on one that I thought stood out from all the rest.

Blunt Umbrellas became the clear first choice. Why? Because everyone needs a great umbrella that doesn’t break!

This New Zealand outfit started with designer Greig Brebner, who was living in London at the time and had experienced the perils of rain in the city first-hand. While among a field of spiked edges and broken canopies, Greig saw an opportunity to make an umbrella that would stand up against the most hazardous of weather conditions.

After he returned home to New Zealand, he learned that umbrellas hadn’t been redesigned in over 200 years and billions end up in land fills every year. Grieg went to the drawing board  to create the Blunt Umbrella. Each prototype was tested to the limits in wind tunnels on the hills of Auckland until the best umbrella was born. Marrying both engineering innovation and design styling, Greig created a product that was there to last.

Every detail is considered – from the folding mechanism to how the canopy is attached. Weather-resistant Blunt umbrellas are engineered for quality and guaranteed to last. They say they believe strongly in their mission to provide the best umbrella and they offer a 5-year warranty.

Blunt Umbrellas is the extra-special company from the NY Now 2017 Summer Edition trade show.

I can’t wait to see what exciting companies are in store for next year’s Winter 2018 Edition!
