Ian Lloyd's Stories and John Ford of the Strawbs


These mulit-platinum artists team up for a special evening, performing their classic hits as well as a tribute to The Ventures/The Shadows by John, and Ian’s tribute to Foreigner and The Temptations. John and Ian have never stopped rocking, and these high-energy live performances are not to be missed.

Ian Lloyd:

Ian Lloyd, lead vocalist for classic rock legend Stories, had 1973’s global #1 hit “Brother Louie”. With other Top 40 hits like “I’m Coming Home”, “Mammy Blue”, “If It Feels Good Do It”, and more, Ian has continued to make his presence known & heard through out the land. Ian’s music is frequently heard on classic rock radio and has appeared in numerous films. In addition you can hear Ian singing the theme song to Louis C.K.’s Hit Sitcom “Louie” weekly on FX Network.

Ian’s well-received solo albums include several star studded recordings. Working with Ric Ocasek (of The Cars) on “Goosebumps”, they produced the Top 40 hit “Slip Away”. His voice can also been heard on all of Foreigner’s classic hits, as well as Billy Joel’s No. 1 record “I Go To Extremes’, and has appeared on records by Yes, Peter Frampton, Ian McDonald [of King Crimson/Foreigner] and Survivor, and many more.

John Ford:

Multi-talented British artist, John Ford of The Strawbs, The Monks and Hudson Ford is best known for having penned award winning chart toppers “Part of the Union” with the Strawbs, and “Nice Legs Shame About The Face” with The Monks – each earning him Double Platinum Record Awards from the UK and Canada. John Ford’s unique percussive bass style gave the Strawbs, originally a Folk group, new direction in the progressive rock genre, along with addition of keyboard extraordinaire, Rick Wakeman – who later joined YES, and was replaced by Blue Weaver.

Ford has shared the bill on world tours with other legendary acts including Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, The Eagles, Jefferson Starship, Ritchie Blackmore, Dave Mason, Blue Oyster Cult, Marc Bolan/T. Rex, Steppenwolf — to name a few. Ford’s most recent album release for 2012, Resurrected, has been met with accolades.


Besides each being major contributors to the ‘70’s Rock Scene, both of these artists have continued to make music that is new and fresh well into the 21st Century. With recent releases, [John Ford’s “Big Hit In India” and Ian Lloyd’s “In The Land Of O-de-PO”], both have garnered attention around the world, and have continued to amass devoted followers. With “A Big Hit In India”, John Ford won Best Prog/Indy Artist , and Ian’s “In The Land Of O-de-PO” was the recipient of a Global Marijuana Music Award for “Best Rock Track”.

They are currently collaborating on new music for their joint project: FORD/LLOYD, including two Halloween songs: “Halloween, the Nightmare in your Dreams”, and “There’s a Party Going On”, a tribute to the victims of Hurricane Sandy, and other recordings are in the works.
