The ‘Rock Con’ Connection 7-30-8-1/2010

This special  first time event was put together by Charles Rosenay!!! of Beatle Liverpool tours fame.

 The Rock Con had rock stars from the 1950’s to the 1980’s signing autographs, giving interviews, doing panel discussions and performing live.
Guests included Tommy James doing a panel discussion; Andy Kim performing The Ronettes’ classic Baby I Love; and Fang, the bass player  from Paul Revere & The Raiders, performing Kicks; Hungry; and Just Like Me. Stewkey, lead singer of The Nazz, performed Hello Its Me and Open My Eyes; and Ian Lloyd, of The Stories, performed Brother Louie, the 1973 classic, doing a duet  with Mary Wilson of The Surpremes.Awards were given to Mary Weiss of The Shangri-las; The Blues Magoos performed their garage classic We Ain’t Got Nothing Yet; and Ron Dante of The Archies played his Sugar,Sugarhit.  Other performances included Hilton Valentine, lead guitarist for The Animals, jamming out with The Characters house band.  Denny Laine from Wings and The Moody Blues was there playing and performing, and so was Denny Dias From Steely Dan.  Gene Cornish of The Rascals; LA La Brooks of The Crystals; and Al Jardine of The Beach Boys were there, plus the great guitarist Vince Martell of Vanilla  Fudge and a cast of so many more, but too many to name, that brought us back to whatever decade we wanted to be in!
